Over the past week and continuing into this week, our fifth-grade students have been visiting Fort Polk to engage in full-day, hands-on activities centered around STEM Education.
STARBASE offers immersive experiences in science, mathematics, and technology within a high-tech, aerospace learning setting. Situated at the Home of the Joint Readiness Training Center and run by LSUA, STARBASE inspires students while enhancing their learning through a unique, challenging, and enjoyable academic program.
This marks the third consecutive year that we have provided this engaging fun learning opportunity for our fifth graders. Fifth graders have the chance to code robots, construct and launch rockets, and participate in much more throughout their time at STARBASE. The collaboration between EBE, DOD, and LSUA is helping to open doors to future career possibilities for our students.
